Unstoppable Women Rise

43:51

About This Episode

Welcome back to a very special episode of The Amberly Lago Show! This conversation is unlike anything we've done before because today, I'm joined by some of the incredible women from my Unstoppable Mastermind, women who have walked through unimaginable challenges, rebuilt themselves from the inside out, and are now using their voices, stories, and leadership to impact others in powerful ways.

This episode was recorded live after the Unstoppable Success Summit, and let me tell you… the wisdom, vulnerability, courage, and authenticity these women shared was absolutely unforgettable. Each woman brings a different story, a different background, and a different journey, but what connects them all is resilience, faith, growth, and the willingness to rise even when life gets hard.

In this powerful mastermind conversation, we talk about confidence, healing, leadership, self-worth, overcoming fear, using your voice, stepping into purpose, and what truly happens when women come together to support one another instead of compete. These women openly share the lessons they've learned through grief, trauma, reinvention, recovery, entrepreneurship, motherhood, health struggles, and personal transformation.

You'll hear practical wisdom about boundaries, mirror work, confidence-building, overcoming fear, leadership, authenticity, and the importance of surrounding yourself with people who truly see and believe in you. More than anything, this episode is a reminder that your story matters and that healing, growth, and transformation are possible when you stop trying to do life alone.

If you've ever questioned your worth, struggled with fear, or needed a reminder that your voice matters, this conversation will encourage you to step forward boldly and embrace the unstoppable woman you were created to be.

The one thing that has had the biggest impact on my business, on my life, is community. It is having those relationships, people that believe in you, that support you, that really call you higher. And that's exactly why I started the Unstoppable Life Mastermind. And you know what?

0:19
Stephanie Bowman

It's.

0:20
Amberly Lago

1:01
Krista

You have to go within and rebuild who you are, what you love about yourself and what value you add to others. And that one worked really well for me. So hopefully that will help others.

1:14
Cristina P. Simmons

We have been through so much and I've always said that we didn't go through all of these hard things not to help other people. And so that's why I decided to write. My book is really the story of our life, my family's life.

1:25
Monica Connolly

Join the Mastermind the the beliefs that those women had in me that I didn't have in myself and the value and the worth that they could see in me really changed how I thought about myself and how I saw myself realizing that my worth comes from me and not from outside.

1:41
Jess

Last year was a big turning point for me. We moved, I became an empty nester, I sold a gym and I was in a really dark place last year. And so this Mastermind group has come at the right time for me. I encourage any woman to be find a place where you feel like you are seen, heard and lifted up.

1:58
Kim Witczak

The Mastermind and then I look at all the women that I've been surrounded by who actually have done it within a time frame and I realized that it was time to get out of my whatever fears of like just, you know, getting out.

2:12
Stephanie Bowman

For so many years, I didn't think that my voice mattered. I didn't think I had a voice. Being able to not only know that my voice matters, but to teach other people how to be able to speak their truth, how to be able to find their voice again and to trust that just it means the world well,

2:30
Ashley Holt

I'm definitely coming out of a season of a lot of fear, and you have helped me definitely have this transformation. I think a misconception about fear is that it's our enemy, but it's really an invitation.

2:43
Krista

Leadership has this misconception that you have to be a certain way, when in reality, we all show up perfectly beautiful in the way that we are. We all have those stories that everybody needs, and that's. That's, to me, what a leadership is.

2:55
Amberly Lago

Hey, there. Thank you for tuning in to the Amberly Lago show. I am super excited because I have my favorite ladies with me today on the show. And you're in for a real treat because I have a live studio audience, too. Let me hear it for the live studio audience. And you are going to learn how to be unstoppable. These ladies stories are incredible, and we have 11 guests with us today, so we're gonna get moving and shaking. You want to get your notepad and pen because you're going to get a lot of stuff really quick. These ladies all spoke at the unstoppable success success summit yesterday, and I guess I'm so excited, I can't even talk, y'.

3:36
Krista

All.

3:37
Amberly Lago

So I want to ask Krista, who is wearing red lipstick, thank you for being here. Krista, you exude confidence for someone who is struggling with confidence, because I know you were in a place where even a year ago, you were in a completely different place. And to see you wearing red lipstick so boldly, looking gorgeous, posting, doing retreats, speaking from stage so eloquently, how did you get to be so confident? What can somebody else do to get confidence to go after their dreams?

4:12
Krista

Oh, that's a great question. And it's many things. And the first one would be to get out of your own head. That's number one. One that worked really well for me was mirror work, where you look at yourself in the mirror. You start with 30 seconds, and then you work up to 60 seconds, and you go. And then you work on not breaking on eye contact with yourself and telling yourself that I love you. And that really helps build the confidence within because of having part of your face. Face frozen, having to do a lot of work. One of it was actually oral exercises where I had to work with my mouth, so I was looking in the mirror anyways, so I just flipped that to my advantage to really go inside and get realigned so that I could truly see myself for me before I got full movement back, because that was something you have to work through, too. It's like you see this vision of yourself, and when that gets distorted, you have to go within and rebuild who you are, what you love about yourself, and what value you add to others. And that one worked really well for me. So hopefully that will help others.

5:26
Amberly Lago

I know it will. And by the way, you had quite the fan club and the audience yesterday.

5:31
Krista

I'm so blessed.

5:32
Amberly Lago

Oh, yeah, you had quite the fan. And it was because who you are in your heart. And so. And I know so many people that struggle maybe with. It's not a scar or a paralyzed half of your face being and paralyzed, but it's internal things that have happened. And so I think that work is beneficial for anyone, no matter what they're going through.

5:52
Jess

Absolutely.

5:53
Krista

Even if it's not the physical, it could be emotional because I went through that roller coaster too, being in environments that didn't serve me. And then you start changing who you are. And also, even the mirror work works well for that because you do get to react, reintroduced, and we get to know yourself on a different level.

6:15
Amberly Lago

That's beautiful. So, Jess, who did a handstand in very high heels yesterday, can you share a connection or opportunity or a relationship from this time together, just in this past? So I met you when I was speaking in an event and I was like, oh, my goodness. Christina and I were together and met you, and I was like, you're my people. But can you share just in the past year, a relationship or an opportunity that has really helped kind of level up your career and what you're doing? Because you just republished your book, y'.

6:51
Cristina P. Simmons

All.

6:51
Amberly Lago

She's got three books. Three books, okay? Doing big things. But can you share anything about that?

6:58
Jess

Every single woman in this mastermind has been just such a blessing to me. And when I met Amberly, she was speaking at Billy Cox's event last year in Texas. I happened to keep coming to Texas for some reason. And what was just so amazing about her was that she just connected with me right away. It wasn't about her being a superstar on stage because I was, like, awestruck. I was like, you hate. You are an Ed Mylett. So she was just so real. And I seek out women in my life that are truly authentic. And it's hard because so many leaderships of leadership events are male driven. And so to be around a group of women who are just real and are there to support you and lift you and just be your friends, it's just so humbling to be part of this. As far as the past year, last year was A big turning point for me. We moved, I became an empty nester, I sold a gym and I was in a really dark place last year. And so this mastermind group has come at the right time for me. My husband who's here today was very supportive of me being part of this and investing in myself. As women, we need to do that. I am health and fitness coach, but you have to learn to say yes to yourself. And so I've had just amazing opportunities and speaking on the stage yesterday and republishing a book that became a bestseller. But really it's about the connection and the friendships that I have developed being part of this. And so I encourage any woman to find a place where you feel like you are seen, heard and lifted up.

8:30
Amberly Lago

That's beautiful. And by the way, I love the band. You she. If you got the swag bag, you got the band that Jess donated and anybody got that unstoppable oil that Krista Gay did you? How cool is that? I love that. And by the way, Jess, you're. You and your hubby are a gorgeous couple. Can we give a little clap for her hubby? I mean so supportive was there yesterday here today at the studio. So thank you for the. The guys who are so supportive. And now we have Christina, Ms. Christina Simmons, who we have. Oh, whose book is that? Yeah, eat your feelings. And I want to ask you about completely reinventing yourself. You completely switched gears careers, decided to start speaking, did a phenomenal job yesterday on stage, wrote a best selling book and now you're helping others write their books. So what would you suggest to somebody who is like I am miserable where I am, I hate my 9 to 5. I want to do what I'm passionate about. Where should they start?

9:46
Cristina P. Simmons

I always start with prayer first. Um. And I think that if you have that little notion or word or whatever you want to call it that comes into your mind and it seems too big for you or it seems like you're. It's something that you can't do by yourself, then it's probably is something from God and that you're meant to do. And I just knew that what I was doing in my job, I was helping people, but I wanted to help people on a bigger scale. And my husband is here with me too. He support always supports me and there he is.

10:19
Amberly Lago

And he's even been in his video.

10:21
Cristina P. Simmons

He's so good. I've trained him well. Wow. He's on my payroll.

10:27
Jess

Yes.

10:27
Stephanie Bowman

Yeah.

10:29
Cristina P. Simmons

But I think we have been through so much and I've always Said that we didn't go through all of these hard things not to help other people. And so that's why I decided to write. My book is really the story of our life, my family's life. Um, but then tools and strategies that I was using all along the way that I didn't even realize I was using until I wrote it down on paper.

10:50
Amberly Lago

Yeah. It's very cathartic when you write.

10:53
Tiffaney Childers

Yeah.

10:53
Amberly Lago

And I will just say, too like, you ladies that are just really. It's beautiful to see you stepping into your power. And like you said, you were always helping people, but now you're doing it on a much bigger scale. I mean, you just did your TED Talk. Did you. Did you ever imagine you'd be doing a TED Talk?

11:15
Cristina P. Simmons

No. And it scared me to death. And that's why I knew that it was the right thing to do.

11:19
Amberly Lago

Yeah.

11:20
Stephanie Bowman

So.

11:20
Amberly Lago

Yeah. Face everything and run towards it.

11:24
Cristina P. Simmons

That's right.

11:24
Amberly Lago

Yeah. That is fair. Yeah. It's a green light. Yeah. Yeah.

11:31
Krista

Yeah.

11:31
Amberly Lago

Well, Kim, oh, my goodness. You've been in the Mastermind now for two years. I can't believe the last two years. I mean, you've. I've shared clothes in my closet for photo shoots because we have the same taste. I keep saying we just need to move in together at this point. I need that Alison Olivia suit that you have on right now. I just. Seeing everything that you're doing, and you're in the middle of writing your book.

12:02
Kim Witczak

Yes, I am in the middle. Actually, I've already written it. Now it's in the editing stage and putting the title to it. But this is a book that I have literally been living for 20 years. And it wasn't until the Mastermind. And then I look at all the women that I've been surrounded by who actually have done. Actually have done it within a time frame. And I realized that it was time to get out of my. Whatever fears of, like, just, you know, getting out. And because I realized that I have a really big story that if I can't take all the information that I have learned over my life to my grave, if I don't share it because it doesn't mean no good, and if I can give it to somebody else, that is where the power lives. And so that is the thing that I have learned from being in full of women who are actually doing things. So not just talking about it or thinking about it, because it doesn't do anything. It doesn't do any good in your head.

13:03
Amberly Lago

Yeah, that's so true. And by the Way you're going to be able to find every single one of these ladies. The links are going to be in the show notes, and you really need to follow these ladies, grab their books, hear their story. This is just a short snippet of some of their advice that they're giving you and some of the encouragement, but their stories are phenomenal. I don't think there was a dry eye in the theater yesterday. Hearing these ladies speak was just incredible. So you'll be able to find them. And I want to take it from the studio audience now. Does anybody have a question from the studio audience? We have a beautiful studio audience today. Anyone?

13:44
Michelle Peña

Okay.

13:45
Amberly Lago

For Christina, how has stuck with your

13:49
Jess

family influenced things that you decided to

13:53
Amberly Lago

put in your book and talk about? Repeat the question.

13:58
Cristina P. Simmons

She asked how the things that happened inside my family influenced me to write the book. And actually, I am an occupational therapist. I'm a pediatric occupational therapist, which that's the job that I quit last year to do this speaking thing. But all everything that my family has been through has completely shaped my life and how I help other people. And so my husband and I carry a very rare gene, and we lost several babies, and then we were gifted with adoption. And so we lost two girls and a boy. And we adopted two girls and a boy. And then our son was diagnosed with autism. And so that sent me down the path of occupational therapy. And so I think just in life, you always, you do the thing that helps you, and so you're doing those things to help yourself, but then you give the gift of being able to help others through the journey that you walked.

14:47
Amberly Lago

That's beautiful. Let's say what I mean about these women have incredible stories. And Kim, what did you get in the past two years that you were totally not expecting to gain?

14:59
Kim Witczak

What did I get the last two years? I would say, first of all, incredible friendships and realizing that it's all about connections and being able to, like, if I need to rely on somebody or ask a question, I have resources. Right. Then the other thing that I have to say, I learned something that almost every one of the women has, which is this acronym, acronym of how when you are out there trying to speak and tell your story, but also to give other people information that how important it is. And so I used you probably, if you heard me yesterday, I talked about fire. And I didn't actually go into the fire because I had a lot of other things I needed to say yesterday. My story. But fire, faith, intuition, resilience and energy. And that was the what helped me in my journey, and it's super easy. So that was something I did not expect to really get out of the last two years is the importance of being able to put it in a simplified message for others to easily understand.

16:07
Amberly Lago

Yeah. That's beautiful. Well, you ladies, I appreciate you being on the show. You're going to hear from Christina, a solo show. Kim, you've got. You can learn more about Kim when she was on the show. Gosh, that's been a year ago.

16:21
Krista

Yes.

16:23
Kim Witczak

It's my favorite.

16:24
Amberly Lago

Yeah. And so you can hear more if you look at the show. And then I'm going to have these other ladies on for just an episode with just each one of them because I know you want to learn more about them. But we've got Jess, we've got other women here that need to get on a flight right away. And I'm just glad that Texas has some good weather right now so they can get out of here. They got here through thunderstorms, through tornadoes and hail storms, but they made it here because we are unstoppable.

16:52
Michelle Peña

Yes.

16:54
Amberly Lago

And we're going to bring up a couple of other ladies to the floor now. So we have got Amanda, Maren, Monica, Ashley. Come on up. Okay, now we've got Monica, Ashley, Marin, and we've got Stephanie up here who they all crushed it on the stage yesterday. And I love your talk, Monica with the mirror. And there's been a complete transformation. But what is one way other than business? Because you're coaching, you're speaking, you're doing your own virtual events, you're doing your own retreats now. But one. What is one way that you feel like you have really grown in the past because you've been in the mastermind for two years now? I've had the blessing of having you for two years. What is one way you have grown really personally or changed the most? Not just business, but personally

17:51
Monica Connolly

realizing my worth. I see that, you know, for. For so long, I looked for external validation by what I was doing, whether that was in my job or making sure that everyone in my family was taken care of. I was always putting myself last to make sure that, you know, everything was taken care of and always seeking that external validation of you're doing a good job or, oh, you did good with this. And I remember stepping into the unstoppable success summit two years ago, and I saw these amazing women that you could tell had this. This bond and supported each other. And then hearing them, you know, tell a little bit of their story on stage and. And I was like, oh, my gosh, that's absolutely amazing. And I wanted that and joined the mastermind and the beliefs that those women had in me that I didn't have in myself and the value and the worth that they could see in me that I couldn't see yet. And so over the past two years, being able to change that mindset and really change how I thought about myself and how I saw myself and realizing that my worth comes from me and not from outside, that's beautiful.

19:24
Amberly Lago

That's beautiful. Ashley, you were so amazing. I go backstage and walk on and see the stage and Ashley was already there, standing on stage, like, getting ready, like, so professional there. And I have just seen such a huge transformation in every way. And I love seeing you step into your power, like, to be fearless. There's a lot of people that are scared to do things. What would you suggest for someone who is in fear and stuck and not wanting to take a move?

19:59
Ashley Holt

Well, I'm definitely coming out of a season of a lot of fear, and you have helped me definitely have this transformation. I think a misconception about fear is that it's our enemy, but it's really an invitation. And so as I look back at the point in my life where I was the most fearful, I did come up with an acronym. So in the she means business blueprint, it's power move number three, and it spells fear. But F is face it, because you can't change what you're not willing to see. E is expose the pattern that that's creating. A is alchemize it into action, and then R is to reclaim whatever that fear was holding you back from.

20:43
Amberly Lago

That's so good. I love that because it's easy to remember every time we step into fear and your magazine, your children's book, your best selling book, I mean, it's phenomenal. And you're going to be on the podcast, so coming up soon, so you'll be able to learn even more and we'll go more into depth about what all the amazing things that you're doing. And Maren, you were incredible yesterday as well. I just love all that you're doing with your coaching, with your bestselling book. You're a community builder and you are such a great leader and teach others how to really empower them, how to be resilient and be better leaders. What is one thing as far as leadership is a skill that you think is the most important for a leader to be a good leader?

21:30
Krista

I think it really comes down to just being Authentically who you are. I think in the world, we have all different stories in our lives, and leadership has this misconception that you have to be a certain way when in reality, we all show up perfectly beautiful in the way that we are. And I think that the moment you can tap into who that is and you can show up and shine in that, we all have those stories that everybody needs. And that's. That's, to me, what a leadership is.

21:55
Amberly Lago

I love that. That's beautiful because I relate more to people who are human, they're real. It's like they don't have it all figured out. They're not pretending to be perfect. And I also like to learn from people who have been through the hard times and gotten through and made it to the other side, because I'm like, okay, they've been in the trenches. They know how to keep moving forward. So I love that, and I love all the leadership tips that you share through your social media and everything that you do. Stephanie Bowman, you had a huge fan club. As soon as your face popped up on the screen, everybody's like, ah. And you were so generous and with not just items and things. I mean, you so generously added so much to our swag bag at the summit. And I was like last night at dinner going, this is so good like this. It was like Christmas last night at our dinner. And. But you're also very generous with your time and everything that you do. So how has being generous with your time, with who you are, with investing in yourself and in others, how has that changed your life?

23:07
Stephanie Bowman

First. Thank you. Thank you. That was really beautiful. Growing up, my mom taught us how to give, how to reach our hand out and be there for other people. And she would say, we can't keep whatever it is that we have unless we give it away. And I really didn't know what that meant for many, many years. Investing in myself has changed everything. For so many years, I didn't think that my voice mattered. I didn't think I had a voice. And being able to not only know that my voice matters, but to teach other people how to be able to speak their truth, how to be able to find their voice again and to trust that just. It means the world. Also, investing in myself has, especially through the mastermind. You know, it's time commitment, it's financial commitment, and learning more about myself has made all the difference in the world, and it allows me to be able to go back and to be able to do that for other women.

24:17
Amberly Lago

You do that so I mean, y', all, I don't know if you realize this. She got the Kindness Award from People magazine. The awards and accolades, the Presidential Award. Like, the. The list goes on and on and on. I mean, these ladies are you guys amazing. And what's so beautiful, too, is that you're up here. You're just beautiful in every way, every sense of the word, inside and out. But you also are so humble and hardworking. Who would like to answer a question about humility? Like, to. To really, like, be successful and make the best relationships and opportunities. Does anybody want to answer the question about the importance of humility?

25:10
Stephanie Bowman

I would love to start with that. I think that 27 years ago, when I was just getting clean and sober, I didn't know what humility really meant. And through a lot of love and grace that so many other women have given me, has helped me to be able to not only go back and help other women, but I've got a nonprofit organization that I started 17 years ago, and we're helping thousands of people every single month. And it's not about, ooh, look what I'm doing. It's about, here's the resources, here's a community, here's the love. Let me help you to be able to guide you to whatever those resources are. And for so many people, it's just needing to be heard. Right? And knowing that we're all human, we are all equal, and it doesn't matter what our status is, it doesn't matter where we sleep at night, it doesn't matter how much income we make, that we are all human beings. Wanting to be seen, wanting to be heard, wanting to be loved, and wanting to connect.

26:19
Amberly Lago

That's so important. Yeah. And you never know who you're talking to. That's why I think it's so important to just be kind. Just be kind.

26:30
Stephanie Bowman

That's how I got the Kindness Award. Just being kind.

26:35
Amberly Lago

There we go.

26:37
Stephanie Bowman

Had no idea who was volunteering that day at One Heart. And it was a couple months later when she called and said that the People magazine was doing the first Kindness Award and that. Me. Why me?

26:48
Amberly Lago

That's incredible. I held the elevator door open with my leg for a publisher who ended up publishing my first book. You just never know.

26:58
Stephanie Bowman

You just never know.

26:59
Michelle Peña

Yeah.

26:59
Amberly Lago

So I promise y' all are going to be able to find out more about these amazing ladies if you just go in the show notes, and you'll be able to find these ladies, follow them, learn from them, grab their books. So thank you for being here. And we're going to move on to our next group of Mastermind ladies.

27:17
Stephanie Bowman

Thank you.

27:19
Amberly Lago

Okay, we have another group of ladies up here.

27:21
Stephanie Bowman

We.

27:21
Amberly Lago

We are just going. These ladies are incredible. Tiffany, oh, my gosh. It was her first time on stage yesterday, and you crushed it. You are meant for this.

27:35
Tiffaney Childers

Thank you so much.

27:37
Amberly Lago

You were incredible. I was, like, blown away. I kept telling you backstage. People were telling you, Nicole, who's in the studio audience right now, was like, it was so good you shared your story. Y' all have to check out her story. Actually, look, happened to have the Rise back book right here.

27:56
Amanda Soukoulis

Her book.

27:57
Amberly Lago

But you were in a different place a little over a year ago. Right out of here, I met you. You came to the unstoppable success summit, and we met and we just truly connected.

28:09
Tiffaney Childers

Absolutely.

28:10
Amberly Lago

We have a lot in common. Both have lost parents to suicide. You lost both of your parents to suicide. Both diagnosed with a crazy nerve disease, complex regional pain syndrome. So we're like, I get it. Like, we get it. But then I'm like, you've got such an impact to make. You've got such an incredible. You're helping so many. I think we can do it on a bigger level.

28:34
Tiffaney Childers

Thank you. I would like that.

28:36
Amberly Lago

Well, you're doing it. You are doing it through your book, through your speaking, through now your social media. And what I wanted to ask for people is there are some people that are scared to do social media. I know I was when I first started, I was, like, scared to post. I remember the first time I posted a picture of my face and I literally hid under the covers and I went to your social media and you had one post. You were the one post girl. And now you can't get her off of social media. What would you suggest for somebody to do who has fear or they're making excuses like, oh, I'm too old. That's before my time. I don't know how to do that. That's for the youngins. What is a suggestion to help them move forward?

29:22
Tiffaney Childers

I just think the main thing for me, I was so nervous. Number one, I'm older and social media just wasn't my thing. I knew Facebook. I didn't know Instagram at all. So learning a new platform was a little bit interesting. But I've done it. And the thing is, the people that need to hear your voice can't hear it if you're silent. And if you don't get on social media, because that is the number one way now to get your voice out there, to get your story out There. And there's so many people that need to hear everybody's story here. I stayed silent for so long that I want to just shout my story off the mountaintop because I'm the person that I needed 18 years ago. I needed to see somebody that had been through this, that had walked this suicide loss path. Even if I didn't talk about it, I needed to hear somebody that had been on the other side, that made it, that is now standing in their story. And you've got to get your voice out there because people can't hear you if you stay silent.

30:27
Amberly Lago

Well, it's beautiful. And that you said, I needed the person that I am right now. I needed somebody to be that person for me. And I think that helps when you think of others, when you're like, well, this isn't about me. This is about the people that I serve. And Michelle, you are incredible. You've been in the fitness industry, own gyms.

30:51
Tiffaney Childers

You've.

30:53
Amberly Lago

As an entrepreneur, but as a health and wellness coach, functional practitioner, a former nurse, you are like, total legitness. I mean, you've been there, done that. You've been married, what, 27 years? 27 years, yes, 27 years. Building a business with your husband, which man I know dealing with my husband's. I don't even work well. He says he works for me now. I'm like, really? That means you got to work, dude. You got to do it. You're on the payroll. And I gave him a credit card, and he goes, why is mine a different color? I said, because you work for me, you know, but what is. What do you feel like? How does someone who is working with their husband or with not even working with them, but wants to do something new? How do you get through the ups and downs of a relationship and moving forward with maybe new goals that you want when you don't feel like, I don't know, maybe you feel like you've always had the support. But I know when I wanted to do something new, I didn't feel like my husband was like, what? That's kind of crazy. What do you want to do? What do you do for support or connection to keep moving forward in different things that you want to do for your career?

32:07
Michelle Peña

So what I do for supporting connection is I find people that I can. Can relate to. I think it's important, even if I don't have those people in my local community, that I find them online. And that's what I did with this. Just follow people and then our paths cross or I come to an event where y' all are at. And that's how I found out about you. I was at an event, I was like, who's this Amberly chick? So. And I will say, coming into this group, I tend to be a little reserved. I think, when I first come into, like, friendships or groups, because that's just how I am. But it's. Everyone has been very accepting and loving and to touch on working with my husband for a long time, you know, it was like I was helping him achieve his goals and his dreams, and then I woke up to, like, wait a minute. I have my own goals and dreams. And he's. He's been supportive for the. He really has. But maybe he's not always understood the path that I wanted to take, because it was different. But I always say in the gym setting, he's party in the front, and I'm business in the back. And it's just worked because we have different personalities and different roles.

33:16
Amberly Lago

Yeah. And that's so true. And I had to kind of accept that when my husband, he's got. He's like the town mayor, and. But when it comes to events, he does not want to be seen. He doesn't want to be in the room. He does. I'm like, I remember when I first wrote my first book, I was like, oh, my gosh, you'd be awesome if you could just stand at the. At the table with the books and talk to people. He's like, oh, no, that is so not me. Like, I'm not doing that. And some of you met Johnny, and, you know, he is a character, But I think knowing your role and that he's the party in the front, you are the business in the back, and you have to take care of business.

33:51
Michelle Peña

Yes. Yeah. And we are very supportive of each other. Like, if he came to me and wanted to do something, if it was kind of crazy, I might question it. But if he really believes in something and he feels called to do something, we're always going to support each other.

34:05
Amberly Lago

That's. That's beautiful. That's beautiful. And I love that he was here.

34:10
Michelle Peña

He was.

34:10
Amberly Lago

I know. I loved that he saw you on stage. That was amazing.

34:15
Michelle Peña

I think, you know, last night when we were talking about what was the biggest thing for us, the event was amazing. But to have his support meant a lot to me because he was there, and that meant a lot. And I joked that he sat through six hours of women talking, and that showed a lot. That showed a lot of love.

34:34
Amberly Lago

That is a lot of love. That is commitment. That is beautiful. Yeah. Well, Amanda, oh, my goodness. I met you when I was speaking at an event, and I was like, oh, my goodness. Who is this gorgeous lady? I think I was kind of new to Dallas, and I was like, oh, my goodness. I was mesmerized with your eyes. And we started talking, and we just. And then I found out you were a dancer. And I'm like, I used to be a dancer. And you've been in the Mastermind for two years now. But I have seen just this complete transformation. So what do you feel like is the secret to success? Success. Because you built up your coaching clientele, and now you're so busy, it's just expanded beyond belief. So what do you feel like is the secret to success in coaching? How to be a great coach and have a big coaching business. Because there are a lot of people that want to become coaches.

35:36
Amanda Soukoulis

I love this question. First, I just want to say thank you. Because, you know, there's certain people, certain times in your life where there's just plot twist moments, and that's the power of getting in the room. That's power of saying hello. And because of our introduction, it has created a ripple effect that's given me the. The courage, the boldness, the connections to be able to do what I was put on this planet to do. So thank you. But to answer your question, I don't think that there's really any secret, and it's going to be different for every person, but figure out what it is that really sets your soul on fire. For me, I had a complete health collapse, and it was devastating. And it put my whole life, all of my dreams on hold. And as I healed my body, I said, you know, I want to go become part of this solution. So I invested. I sewed into the right team of women around me, like Amberly, like people that are in the functional medicine space to say, I want to time collapse this. I want to be able to get my business to a place where I can go serve and go and pour into more people. And, you know, because I just trusted the people that I brought in, that I sewed into, was able, I just said, okay, I'll follow this blueprint. And I've just stuck at it one day after another after another, continue to show up on social media, continue to show up to the people around me. And I think the secret, I mean, there's so many different people that can help you with your health. I'm just another health coach. But what makes it different is the systems, the Structure in place for the people and just the level of detail of care. Picking up the phone and calling a client when you know that they've had a challenging week rather than waiting for the next week when you have a call. It's those little micro moments that really make a difference. And I think that's what's helped me to differentiate myself in, in this market. But really, I wouldn't be able to have the stick to itiveness if I hadn't walked through it first myself. So I'll never tell someone to do something that I haven't first walked through myself. And so I think that it's a lot of different things combined, but it all started with that plautist moment when we had first connected.

38:02
Amberly Lago

So. Yeah.

38:03
Amanda Soukoulis

Thank you.

38:03
Amberly Lago

Oh, thank you. And you said something really important that you care. I think there's a lot of people out there that they care, but they just care about their bank accounts and they just want you to buy something, do something, because it's going to fill up their bank account. And you really need to search people that genuinely care about you and your success. And I think that that to me is how fulfilling that's so fulfilling is when you can be of service to others and their success that's truly fulfilling. So while we have a studio audience here, do any of the fellows want to ask these beautiful ladies a question or does anybody have a question? Jennifer Watson's here in the house. Angelina. Oh, we've got a question. Speak up. Let's hit let's all the way from Ireland. Tell us your name. My name is Michelle Roy, and yes, I'm all the way from Ireland.

38:59
Amanda Soukoulis

And thank you very much, ladies and

39:00
Amberly Lago

everybody, for being here.

39:01
Ashley Holt

Results.

39:02
Amberly Lago

Beautiful.

39:03
Kim Witczak

My question,

39:06
Krista

how do you.

39:07
Cristina P. Simmons

How do you balance your life?

39:08
Ashley Holt

Because I know there's no greater life balance.

39:10
Amanda Soukoulis

But how do you do for yourself

39:13
Amberly Lago

that you're able to say, hey, this is my moment for myself that I can protect my peace and actually be grounded. How do you do that? Great question. All the way from Ireland. And she gave me the coolest horseshoe, by the way. I can't wait to hang that up. It's traveled a horseshoe shoe that has been all over Ireland and I get to hang it on my wall. So who wants to answer that one?

39:35
Amanda Soukoulis

I can start. For me, it's been identifying what my non negotiables are every day and then what my priorities are and priorities are going to change. I don't believe in work life balance. I believe there's harmony to it and life is going to ebb and flow with that. But just get really crystal clear on what matters the most, why it matters. I connect to that burn. I connect to that fire every single morning of what propels me forward. And that's what allows me to keep pushing on the days that are hard and when. I also like to time block my days by like 30 minute increments. That's the only way. And of course fires are going to come into your day, but making sure that I start my morning with my non negotiables, making sure I move my body, my mind, my spirit and then that way whatever is going to come for the rest of the of the day, I can receive whatever it's going to be and be able to handle it. That's what's helped me. I also am prone to go, go, go. And that's what ultimately was part of my health collapse. Right. And so much better about tuning in and being able to say no, I need to take a step back so that then I can move forward with more precision.

40:50
Amberly Lago

Tiffany, you want to answer?

40:54
Tiffaney Childers

Life kind of forced me to stop and stay still and kind of revamp my life. Chronic pain, life.

41:02
Amberly Lago

And by the way, can I just say with CRPs is if those of you who don't know what CRPS is and I just have to say this because a lot of people, I didn't know what it was.

41:13
Tiffaney Childers

I had no idea.

41:14
Amberly Lago

But it's ranked highest on the pain scale and there's no known cure. To me, it feel and you can relate. Like there's times you can't wear a shoe or a sock. Feels like fire ants, battery acid going through your veins. It feels to me, it feels like a million rubber bands and then a vice grip squeezing my foot. And it's all the time. And by the way, no known cure. And let's try this and this and this. But it does force you to stop and when you don't want to stop sometimes. So I just share that. So y' all know. Yeah, she sits here and looks so beautiful and you can't tell she's in pain and she may be having a flare up today, but we've learned to

41:55
Tiffaney Childers

always twist my foot. Always.

41:57
Amberly Lago

That's all I was sitting here.

41:58
Tiffaney Childers

Yeah, I know. It's just. Yeah, it just has to move. So yeah, life forced me to sit still and, and that's okay because I needed to because like I said yesterday, I was a burn the candle at the both ends kind of girl. And I had to sit still with myself and reset some things and my nervous system. And. And I know you know Michelle, too, because you have that nerve disease. And so it. When. When life and God makes you sit still, we. We notice it and we take heed and we do the things that we need to do. And my life looks different now, but that's okay because a year ago today, I wouldn't be sitting here right now. I was kind of at the lowest of lows a year ago today. I was in so much pain. I was so sick. And here I am today. And I couldn't be more grateful for my sweet Amberly and all of these ladies. So thank you for that question.

42:53
Amberly Lago

I love you. I love you, ladies. Thank you for being here and you can find out more. Well, Tiffany, you were already on the show.

43:47
Tiffaney Childers

43:48
