Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment
Amberly Lago is committed to making amberlylago.comaccessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. Everyone deserves equal access to Amberly’s work, her resources, and the way she shares her story.
Conformance Target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more usable for everyone.
Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks for screen-reader navigation
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and controls across the site
- Visible focus states on interactive elements
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images
- Responsive layouts that hold up at 200% zoom and on small screens
- Accessibility auditing with axe-core tooling during development
Known Limitations
We work continuously to improve accessibility, and we are transparent about current limitations:
- Brand color contrast.Amberly’s coral brand color may not meet AA contrast in every small body-text context against light backgrounds. Larger headings and uppercase eyebrow labels meet the “large text” 3:1 threshold, and we are auditing and adjusting the remaining cases.
- Embedded third-party content. Some pages embed third-party content we do not control, including YouTube video players and the Mailchimp newsletter and free-download signup form. Per WCAG Conformance Requirement 5, this third-party content is outside our direct control.
- Homepage hero video. The homepage opens with a short background reel that plays muted and carries no essential information in that state. It does not yet include captions for its unmuted audio; captions are on our list to add.
- AI podcast search. The podcast search returns AI-generated answers drawn from real episode transcripts. Every quote links back to the exact moment in the source episode so you can verify it in context.
- Legacy blog images. A small number of older blog posts may have abbreviated or generic alt text. We are refreshing alt text as part of an ongoing content audit.
