At age 38, Amberly Lago’s life was turned upside down. Hit by a SUV while riding her motorcycle, 34 surgeries to save her leg from amputation and diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome dubbed “the suicide disease,” she knows about how to strengthen resilience because she has lived it. She is a leading expert in the transformation and health and wellness and has been a certified personal trainer, NSCA-CPT and health coach for 22 years. She shares her passion for turning tragedies into triumphs at exclusive workshops, public events, corporate summits, and schools. She offers a carefully curated set of practical tools to teach others how to tap into their superpower of resilience and persevere through any of life’s challenges. She offers hope and solutions for anyone feeling stuck or living in chronic pain and has been featured on NBC’s TODAY Show, The Doctors, Hallmark Channel, TEDx, Good Morning Lalaland, and featured in magazines such as Health, Fit Pregnancy, Shape, and Disability Magazine. MONTH ONE: MINDSET
In our first month, we will work together to learn more about how your mindset can have powerful effects on your life.
This week we will go through my signature PACER METHOD piece by piece to understand the concepts and integrate them into your life. This is the life changing tool that strengthens your resilience so you may rise up despite any adversity and persevere through any of life’s challenges.
REFLECTION & GOAL SETTING
Before we talk about jumping out of our comfort zones we are going to take a look at where we are and how far we have come.
Resilient people choose very carefully where to focus their attention. They focus on what they CAN change, not on what they CAN’T. You can call it benefit finding, focusing on the good, counting your blessings—I call it getting grateful.
CRUSH LIMITING BELIEFS
I am going to give you a handful of brain hacks, tools, and exercises to help you maintain momentum on your dreams, even when that self doubt starts to creep back in or you’re too tired or just don’t feel like it.
MONTH TWO: HEALTHY BODY
In our second month, we explore ways to improve the health of your body and overall well being.
MOVE YOUR BODY
Exercise not only builds physical strength and endurance, but also makes the brain more resilient to stress. Let’s not forget that moving your body makes you feel better, energizes you, and clears your mind. Your workout doesn’t have to be intense or complicated to have a massive impact on your resilience. Just move.
LOVE YOUR BODY
Learning to love your body
Finding the motivation to move when you are just too tired, hurt too much or don’t have time. Resilient people ask themselves one question, “Is this helping me, or is the harming me?”
What you put in your body, on your body, and around your body… matters.
MONTH THREE: SPIRIT
In our third month, discuss ways to be resilient while keeping your spirit and confidence high.
How you spend your minutes determines how you spend your
days, which determines how you spend your week, which determines how you spend your month, which determines how you spend your year and your years make up your life.
POWER OF PRAYER
Prayer is more than a conversation with your higher power, it is a moment to set your intentions and ask for what you need.
It’s time to let go of worry. Stop worrying about what can go wrong, and get excited about what can go right.
MIND + BODY + SPIRIT
Give yourself some credit for how far you have come. Look at the small and big changes you have made along the way.
